Cryptography:
I use GNU Privacy Guard for data encryption (primarily email) and identity verification. Gnupg is a free and open source replacement for the Pretty Good Privacy commercial cryptographic software package (still free with limited functionality for non-commercial use). I’ll put up more information on this topic later, but for now you can also take a look at the PGP International site for more information.
I highly encourage you to use encryption and cryptographic identity verification in general, and would particularly appreciate it if you use my gpg key to send me any confidential, incriminating, or otherwise sentitive information. My personal key is 0FBA6FFB and may be used for all private communications and consulting work. I also have a key specifically for my work at onShore Networks, LLC. 62326CD7
I’m more than happy to trade key signatures with people if it is feasible for us to verify sufficiently the validity of each other’s keys “out-of-band” (I’m probably going to want to meet in person). If you’re interested, let me know.
Note Tue Dec 27 16:15:33 CST 2005: I have just renewed my key 0FBA6FFB to expire Dec. 27, 2007. A revised key is located at the above link and has been uploaded to pgp.mit.edu.
Note Mon Dec 11 12:18:56 CST 2006: I have renewed 0FBA6FFB yet again to expire 2008-12-10. Same info applies. Also I have created 62326CD7 for use with onShore Networks, LLC. and have uploaded it both to MIT’s keyserver and to pks.onshore.com.
